Yennenga Progress
Yennenga Progress is a Swedish non-profit organization based in Nakamtenga, Burkina Faso. Through a global network of expertise and resources, they support local development in education, health, and infrastructure, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
We were tasked with creating an animation to encourage people to become monthly donors.

Our idea was to highlight the positivity that truly comes from their work and not continue the pity narrative often used when addressing the topic of poverty in Africa. We also wanted to incorporate the warrior princess, who inspires the name. She is an important symbol in Burkina Faso, motivating its people to follow their hearts. The animation follows a boy who talks about Yennenga and the work they have done for the village, with Yennenga representing both the warrior princess and the organization.

II was the designer and illustrator for this project. I was responsible for character design and animation, ensuring that all assets maintained a coherent style, and also for creating the textures for the assets.
